Through affiliation with the Toowoomba Amateur Radio Model Aero
Club, (TARMAC) we are able to launch FAI competition type rockets
as aeromodels. The local "Space Pilots Club" runs laboratories
for ages 7 and up (including dads) producing Estes and Quest rockets
Toowoomba has 4 rocket launches per year and are visited by rocketeers
from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We have a ceiling of 1000 feet
everyday, but for our launches is pushed up to 2000. We also have
the advantage of a head start on altitude, launching from several
hundred metres AMSL.
We have clearances to fly to 2000 ft on the following Saturday
afternoons..

All launches are held at the field of the MAAA affiliated club,
Toowoomba Amateur Radio Model Aero Club (TARMAC). We have been launching
up to and including G size models.
